VILNIUS, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Polish-made Grom air defense missile systems have been delivered to the warehouses of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, the Lithuanian defense ministry said on Thursday.
Lithuania signed a contract worth 28 million euros (32.9 million U.S. dollars) with Poland's Mesko in 2023. "The Grom is a man-portable, anti-aircraft missile system manufactured in Poland," the ministry said.
According to the Baltic News Service (BNS), in November last year, Lithuania, Poland, Estonia, and Norway also signed a letter of intent to acquire Polish-made Piorun short-range air defense systems. (1 euro = 1.18 U.S. dollar)
